This is the first in a series of articles written by students about study abroad in Canada. YS gives us a glimpse into life in Kelowna.（先日カナダへ出発して4ヶ月間の留学をスタートさせた3人の学生たち。これから毎月3人に留学生活をリポートしてもらいたいと思います。）

こんにちは。現在グローバル・アウトリーチ・プログラムでカナダのケロウナに留学しているYSです。8月末にカナダでの生活が始まり、1ヶ月が経過しました。最初は緊張していた学校での生活や、登下校も、今では不安無く楽しく生活できています。

　今回はケロウナでの休日の過ごし方を紹介します。ケロウナのダウンタウンでご飯を食べたり、ビーチ沿いで景色を楽しんだりしています。1つ目の写真はダウンタウンのビーチ沿いからの景色です。とてものんびりとした雰囲気で綺麗な景色の中リラックスすることができます。また、ダウンタウンには沢山の飲食店があり、毎週新しい飲食店に友達と行くことも休日の楽しみの1つです。　

9月の中旬には友達とそのホストファミリーと一緒に「KETTLE VALLEY STEAM RAILWAY」という蒸気機関車に乗りました。2つ目の写真は蒸気機関車に乗っているときのものです。オカナガン湖や緑豊かな果樹園などの、美しい景色を楽しむことができました。この日はとても暖かく、窓から見える景色が澄んでいてとても良い気持ちで過ごせました。

これから12月までの約3ヶ月も充実した生活を送れるように、勉強も遊びもどちらも楽しみながら頑張りたいと思います。

It has become very cold these days in Kelowna. In early September, it was warm and very comfortable, and I wore a T-shirt and pants. However, now I'm wearing a thin hoodie and lined sweatpants. It is especially cold at night, so I used a warm blanket yesterday. My friends and I are going shopping in October to buy clothes for winter. My host family told me a good place to buy clothes, so I'm planning to go there. It's also starting to get cooler in Japan, so please take care of your health.

I will do my best to enjoy both my studies and leisure so that I can live a fulfilling life for the next three months until December.
