Today was graduation day - an important milestone in the lives of our students. It is always a day of mixed emotions. We are so happy to see how much our students have grown over the four years, but also so sad to see them go.
（今年も無事に卒業式の日を迎えることができました。この大切な1日をそれぞれがさまざまな想いを胸に迎えたことと思います。我々教員も、学生たちの4年間の成長を嬉しく思うと共に、別れの日を迎えることを寂しく感じます。）

The graduation ceremony

We had a lovely day. First up was the ceremony itself. We had some beautiful singing from the HJU choir and students heard speeches from the HJU president, other dignitaries and their fellow students. And at the end of it all - they found they had graduated. Congratulations!

After the ceremony, we had our departmental get-together which was more informal. Students received their graduation certificates, heard short speeches from their teachers, and took lots of photos. It was a lovely occasion.
（式典後には学科ごとに集まり、教員一人ひとりからのメッセージあり、写真撮影ありと賑やかに進み、最後のひと時を過ごしました。）
