交換留学生のハンター・スミスさんがサブカルチャー体験をしてきました。

被爆建物の旧日本銀行広島支店が会場となり、6月16、17日に開催されました。

ポップカルチャーひろしま2018は「音楽は平和を運ぶ」というNPOが母体で実行委員会を作っています。

音楽とコスプレ好きのグループが国内外から集結し、「平和」を意識したイベントです。また将来活躍を期待される若い学生が自分たちで作ったものを販売するという機会もあるイベントでした。声優さんやコスプレした人達と写真をとりました。海外からの出場グループも多くいろんな言語が飛び交っていました。

Visiting Pop Culture Hiroshima 2018!

A couple of weeks ago I attended Pop Culture Hiroshima. It was held in the Former Bank of Japan, Hiroshima Branch. It is one of the A-bombed buildings and they display pictures of their experiences and remained materials.
At the event, there were local students selling art, walking around in cosplays, and even a few famous voice actresses. I bought some stickers and took a lot of pictures of all of the people walking around cosplaying. I had a lot of fun attending! It makes me wish I had a cosplay to wear in Japan too. (Hunter)
