This is the second of our articles looking back on a busy summer period.（学生たちの夏の活動を振り返る第2弾！です。）

As part of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, two students from the Department of International English, SO and MF, recently took part in the 「出張！折りづるひろば」event held in the "rest house" of Peace Memorial Park. Here they had the chance to interact with people from around the world, teaching them how to fold origami cranes.（原爆投下から80年となった今年の夏、国際英語学科の学生SOさんとMFさんが、平和記念公園レストハウスで行われた「出張！折りづる広場」に参加し、様々な国から訪れた人たちと一緒に折りづるを作りました。）

The students had a wonderful time with people of all ages and varying nationalities. It was a chance for them to use their English ability in a really meaningful manner. Their activities, encapsulating the idea of international friendship, were picked up by multiple media outlets, including NHK, RCC, Hiroshima Terebi, the Chugoku Shinbun and the Union of Catholic Asian News.（学生たちは、様々な年代、国籍の人たちと英語で会話をし、国境を超えた友情を築く機会となりました。この様子は、NHKをはじめ国内メディア、そして海外のメディでも紹介されました。）
