On Monday, April 5, the entrance ceremony was held for new first-year students joining HJU. The sun shone, some of the cherry blossoms (that have been beautiful on campus this year) still remained, and there was a lovely fresh feeling on campus.
（本日4月5日、広島女学院大学では入学式が執り行われました。お天気にも恵まれ、桜の花もまだ少し楽しむことができる中、キャンパスはフレッシュな空気に包まれました。）

The students first took part in the formal entrance ceremony and listened to a welcome speech from President Mitani. After that, they joined a short KEG program led by the Department Chair, Isobe sensei. In addition to welcoming all students joining our Eigo Bunka and Global Studies in English courses, Isobe sensei outlined the ideas of the KEG department and the new students were introduced to all the teachers in the department. It was wonderful for all the KEG teachers to meet our new students and think about the bright futures ahead of them all.

We are sure that some of the students were a little nervous on their first day, but also we hope that they were filled with expectaions about their future and what they will learn and do during their four years in KEG. Welcome to all the new first-year students, and good luck in everything you do!
